I am an analog film photographer and film worker based in Seattle. Born and raised in San Antonio, I’ve been shooting film since I could hold a camera. I learned how to use a film SLR camera in my high school photography class. Applying the skills I acquired at school, I photographed the local ska/punk scene in San Antonio. After moving to Austin, my journey in film continued as I leisurely shot between classes at the University of Texas. Throughout my life, film has been a way to document and remind myself of the moments that make up who I am. My current work focuses on experimental photography with various tools and techniques such as a kaleidoscopic lens attachment, film souping, and double exposures.
At the University of Texas, I studied Radio, Television, and Film. After school, I’ve worked on productions both big and small. On the small side, I’ve directed, filmed, and edited several music videos. Also, the first feature film I’ve been cinematographer on is currently in post-production. On the large side, I’ve been a departmental coordinator for narrative and commercial productions. In the narrative world, I’ve been a Location Coordinator on Walker (CW) and Brothers (Apple TV.) In the commercial world, I’ve been an Art Coordinator on productions for brands such as Target, Clorox, and Heartgard.
